The acquisition marks the first time that any national sperm bank will be able to offer local services in both Los Angeles and New York - the country's two largest markets for reproductive medicine.

In order to maintain the current number of nearly 300 donors, the recruiting process never stops. This is due to a combination of the stringent donor eligibility requirements and limits on the number of allowed donations. Less than 1% of all applicants actually become fully qualified California Cryobank donors.
