I have one daughter from CCB and working on another. I tried this time last year 4 times and did not take. Now I think I know why.. The sperm count was TERRIBLY LOW. But I did not get the counts as I was not concerned. (PLEASE CHECK YOURS) So this go around I decided to start checking. Well I went in this morning and my sperm from my donor was only 5 million. This is in the very, very low count raking. My Dr. said this is for people who have problems to have this low of count. So after paying all week to have follicle scans get my body all ready. I get a huge blow today. Yes I will be calling the CryoBank tomorrow. As there minumim is 10million after thawing. So just qurious did anyone get pregnant on a low count?? Any comments would love to here. This is a huge concern to me. I am going in tomorrow for another IUI to help boost my chance. So I will be quirous to see what that count is. I keep ya posted.

HELP 11/19/06 3:44 PM Krodriguez, I had problems with one of my donors numbers but my doctor filled out the paperwork the CCB gave me and I got a full refund. They (CCB) were very professional and went out of there way to resolve the issue for me. I stayed with the CCB and went on to have my beautiful twins. Just give them a call, they will stand behind there reputation. Good luck with the back to back IUI's. Two is better then one right?!

So I will be really qurious to see what tomorrow count is. If it is low again I am not sure what I am going to do. K

HELP 11/19/06 8:45 PM Krodriguez, I felt the same way you did, I was ttc almost 2 years before getting pregnant and I used to wonder the same thing. Keep in mind that each ejaculation will yeild different numbers. The donor I loved who had the low numbers and no confirmed pregnancies when I was using him now has 3 children listed on the sibling regitry. Good luck tomorrow.

HELP 01/10/07 12:44 PM TwinMom04, I used donor 5653 last cycle, sperm count was 12 million, it didnt take. the bank does not give you the numbers ahead of time, before you order, it's only after it gets to the doctors that you see the numbers right?

HELP 01/13/07 6:47 PM redmom, Yes, but your vial before it was frozen had over 40+million sperm. The count you got was after it was thawed. Which to me is a huge surprise to be so low after the count is so high from the start. But what is also important is to get the ratings on the sperm. Meaning what do your swimmers rate. My Dr, gives me this and it is great information to know.

HELP 01/13/07 7:11 PM redmom, The lab from your Dr. Just some FYI I was going to another Dr. who was not giving me any kind of counts after thawing. I switched to another Dr. whos lab broke down everything in the sperm for me. I feel it is extremely important to know this as I had two vials very low and got my money back from CCB. If you don't have this you don't have any recourse.

I did 2 IUI's this past fall. September's IUI was 6 million with a negative. October's IUI had a thaw of 5 million but I had one vial left and we decided to thaw that and it only 6 million. With that 11 million total we got a positive but lost the baby shortly after. I will say CCB was very generous and quick with their reimubursement but still - 3 low vials in a row is not good. We have 3 more vials so I'm hoping that we will have better luck in the future. Good luck - hope you get your positive soon.
