RH- donor 03/03/08 7:28 PM Hello: I had my heart SET on using a donor but my RE is suggesting that I stick to a RH- donor because of my A- blood type. DO you have any suggestions about this? CJ |

Re: RH- donor 03/04/08 9:36 AM jonenicky, Most importantly, always consult a physician before making any medical decisions. Plenty of Rh- women have healthy children with partners who are Rh+ (both traditional and via donor). Rh factor is not something we advise our clients to avoid. You may want to ask your physician about a common drug called Rhogam used regualrly in cases of Rh- mothers. You can find information on Rhogam at www.rhogam.com. Please note that CCB does not endorse Rhogam or any other treatment. You should always consult a physician before making any decisions regarding your pregnancy. Good luck, Scott CCB |
