- Discuss the type/amount of vials you will need with your physician and obtain a prescription.
- You can place your order online or by phone. We recommend you read our Client Orientation before placing an order.

Specimen Preparations
California Cryobank offers two types of specimen preparations:
- Intracervical insemination (ICI) specimens (standard unwashed)
- Intrauterine insemination (IUI) specimens (pre-washed prior to freezing)
Specimen Categories
- Premium specimens
- Assisted Reproductive Technology (A.R.T.) Specimens specially designed for use in procedures such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), GIFT, ZIFT and ICSI (intercytoplasmic sperm injection). A.R.T. vials contain fewer total motile cells due to fewer sperm being required for these procedures.
Please consult with your physician regarding which type of specimen you will need and the number of specimens you should order. Existing clients must update their Authorization for Release of Semen Form prior to ordering A.R.T. vials, to ensure your physician is aware of the specimen type you plan to order. A.R.T. vials may not be available for all CCB donors.
