- By couples whose infertility treatment includes an assisted reproductive procedure (IVF, GIFT or ZIFT) or micromanipulation (ICSI). Many women produce numerous eggs due to fertility drugs. Often, only a handful of the embryos are re-implanted into the uterus. Storing the remaining embryos can make additional procedures less expensive and easier.
- By any female diagnosed with cancer who will undergo treatments that may reduce or diminish her fertility potential. Women considering egg storage due to a cancer diagnosis can also have their eggs fertilized, creating embryos for storage.
How It Works
Simply contact our Client Storage Department at 800-936-2796. Our representative will answer any questions and help you open your account. Once your embryos are ready for storage, your doctor will be responsible for transferring them to our nearest storage facility. For a small service charge, we can provide a cryogenic shipping container to your doctor. You may also hand deliver your embryos to our facility, but a cryogenic shipping container is still required. Once your embryos arrive at our facility, they will be placed in a specially designed embryo storage tank for safe keeping until you are ready to retrieve them.
