Los Angeles, CA (June 2002) - California Cryobank, the world's leading sperm bank, is now offering personality testing information on its donors. The personality testing information is in response to client requests for additional, non-identifying information on donors to help with the donor selection process.
California Cryobank has asked its donors to complete the Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS), an instrument widely used by universities, employers, governmental agencies, businesses and religious organizations to provide insight into self understanding and understanding of others. California Cryobank is working with Advisorteam.com, the official licensee of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter to offer the test and a comprehensive 10 page report to its clients.
The KTS test is based on temperament theory, which describes temperament as a pre-disposition towards a particular configuration of habits. Set at birth, temperament indicates a likelihood for a person to act in a certain way. However, everyone is capable of behaving in ways not common to their strongest pre-disposition. Temperament does differ from personality, the combination of temperament and environment.
"The Keirsey Temperament Sorter provides our clients with detailed, non-identifying information about our donors", said Marla Eby, Vice President of Marketing for California Cryobank. "We are very excited to offer it to our clients." She cautions, though, that "Clients should be aware that the results of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, while interesting to read, may not be a predictor of the temperament of your child. Many factors play a part in a child's temperament."
The Keirsey Temperament Sorter 10 page report is available for most California Cryobank donors. Clients may also take the Keirsey Temperament Sorter for themselves and receive the corresponding report. For more information, or to place an order by phone, please call 866-927-9622.
