Choose an access level to get started

Like all our families, our international donor recipients have access to our extensive and diverse portfolio of rigorously screened sperm donors. Here’s how to get started browsing our portfolio and learning more about our donors.

Register for a free account

Just answer a few questions to get free and immediate access to our Level 1: First Look account. It includes an extended donor profile, genetic test summary, donor personal essays, and childhood photos.

Consider upgrading your access

Once you’ve registered for your free account, and are ready to learn more about each donor, consider upgrading to a Level 2: Full Access subscription. It includes all Level 1 features, plus “Express Yourself,” a donor conversation, and adulthood photos (when available). The cost is $250 for four months of access.

Important considerations for international orders

International orders are handled a bit differently than those that are placed from and shipped within the U.S. Please take a moment to learn these important details if you’re outside of the U.S. and interested in making a purchase.

All international orders must be placed by phone

A client services team member will make sure you have all the correct forms and will help you to complete your transaction.

Duty and tax fees

You will be responsible for any "duty and tax" fees required by the receiving country. These fees are not included in the California Cryobank shipping fee.

Schedule ahead

Your order should be submitted at least two weeks prior to treatment.

Coordinate with your clinic

It’s up to Customs as to how the fees will be paid: prior to release of the package or to be invoiced later. Please coordinate with your doctor or clinic regarding these fees, the receipt of the package, and cooperation with Customs in order to avoid a delay in the release of your package.

Shipment safety

All specimens are shipped in liquid nitrogen "dry" shippers, which are designed to maintain the proper temperature for up to 7 days from the date of shipment.

Using import brokers

When you contact our client services team to place your order, they may (depending on the country to which you’re shipping) advise you to work with an import broker.

Some common questions about international orders

Which vial type do I need?
All vial types can be used for any insemination or procedure method. However, the volume (amount) of sperm within each vial varies by vial type (ICI, IUI, IVF, ICSI), so it’s important to purchase the appropriate number of vials for your insemination or procedure method.
What is the Donor Reserve Program?
The Donor Reserve Program offers families the opportunity for greater family exclusivity by purchasing vials from a select number of donors who have limited availability of their California Cryobank vials.
