Understanding vial types and sperm counts
Our vial types are created based on the volume, sperm count and motility of the sperm sample. Each type is named for the procedure for which it’s intended (IUI, ICI, IVF or ICSI). You should consult with your healthcare provider to ensure you’re purchasing the appropriate type and number of vials for your insemination or procedure method.

Orders for families in the U.K. are handled a bit differently than those that are placed from and shipped within the U.S. Please take a moment to learn these important details before making your purchase.
Shipping and storage for the U.K.
California Cryobank makes certain to provide shipping and storage options that are safe and as convenient as possible. Here are a few special considerations for families ordering in the U.K.
Vials may be shipped only to a clinic that is registered with the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA). Please be sure to confirm with your clinic that they are registered before calling to make your purchase.
California Cryobank must receive approval from your clinic before we can ship any vials.
Your clinic is responsible for the safety of your vials once they arrive.
Taking your procedure date into consideration, California Cryobank recommends allowing two weeks for the shipment of your vials.
Some common questions
The Donor Reserve Program offers families the opportunity for greater family exclusivity by purchasing vials from a select number of donors who have limited availability of their California Cryobank vials.
